Everybody has an aura – but in most it is weak and not very luminous; in the Mother’s aura there is the full play of light and powers. People do not see it usually because it is a subtle physical and not a gross material phenomenon. They can see only in two conditions, first if they develop sufficient subtle sight, secondly if the aura itself begins to become so strong that it affects the sheath of gross Matter which conceals it. The Mother has no idea of making people see it – it is of themselves that one after another, some 20 or 30 in the ashram, I believe have come to see. It is certainly one of the signs that the Higher Force ( call it supramental or not) is beginning to influence matter.”

I am quoting Sri Aurobindo as to the seeing of this phenomenon because I myself have seen these Lights emanating from Guru Chinmoy ( pale-blue, blue-gold, platinum-white, violet) and also rose light from Alo Devi.
I know others have also seen these lights and auras and I invite other disciples to step forward to testify and share their experiences. It is indicative of genuine spiritual Siddhi; some have seen these things, many have not. To see these things is NOT equivalent to an advanced sadhana; some just have the faculty of subtle vision opened.

For some reason most of the time all i see is a massive expanse of white light. Its like everytime i meditate, the same door opens…..it would be nice to see different colors.

As for Gurus Aura, God almighty, it is unmistakable. I have never seen an aura so powerful. How can any human being deny such a massive and all powerful aura.
